This book is written to explain the basic and important concepts in physiology for undergraduate and post graduate clinical students. My objective in writing this book is to make it easy for students to understand the complex subject of physiology. The practice of medicine requires a through understanding of physiology. Relevant anatomy is integrated within the text to make understanding of basic principles and concepts of physiology simple to follow. It is well known that a good understanding of physiology requires a sound background knowledge of functional anatomy. The content is restricted to relevant information needed to understand basic physiological concepts and to serve as a foundation for future careers in the medical and health-related professions.
