Laboratory Manual for Analytical Chemistry is an introduction using a beginner's approach in the practical aspect of analytical chemistry. The laboratory manual aims to introduce the concepts and to provide a laboratory experience that is informative and useful for students undertaking analytical chemistry. Analytical chemistry is concerned with the determination of an analyte in a particular sample of material. Methods on analytical chemistry are developed to identify qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis which are classified into two categories; instrumental methods and wet chemical methods. A laboratory component is necessary since it will supplement and enhance understanding of the theoretical concepts provided by lecturers. Students should enjoy the hands-on experience of working in an analytical laboratory set-up, which allows them to collect information that can be calculated, analysed and concluded in a scientifically logical order.
